New at the Zoo 2

The cave
Walls,
Stone walls,
Feeling my way around,
Sometimes I slip on the ground,
I cry out, trying not to fall,
The walls just echo my call,
I look around-sunlight!,
I'm very glad I don't have to fight,
I'm very happy that I'm o.k.,
I'm glad nothing got in my way.

The following poem contains wild inaccuracies.
Jan Dean would like to point out that :-

  • she has never lived in Japan
  • she would lose a fight with a frying pan
  • is about as heroic as a squashed frog
  • her dog is called Harry and if snacks were available he would eat them himself!!!!

She does run from time to time, however and then can be found gasping for breath like a desperate fish on a riverbank.
(Also it is very nice to be somebody's favourite--so thanks for that, Jose and Carlos. )
